Mahdi A. Zahreddine

About him

Mahdi is an early career engineer who graduated in 2010 with a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut. “Mechatronics” was his favorite subject.

He started his industrial career in Saudi Arabia as a production team leader at INDEVCO group. Moving back to Lebanon in 2011, Mahdi managed and developed a 17-years old family business as a Supply Chain Manager and contributed to the establishment of a new business division acting as an independent entity offering local Air Freshener service to customers.

Besides photography, volunteering, helping others, and knowledge sharing are Mahdi's passion. In 2010, Mahdi volunteered with the ASME, a not-for-profit global organization, as an organizing committee member. Today, Mahdi is appointed as the “Entrepreneur's Network Affinity Group” delegate in 2013 representing the Middle East and Africa in the 2013 Leadership Training Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

In December 2012, Mahdi became a “Lamba” (member of Lamba Labs Hackerspace) and is currently responsible for the 3D Printing projects while preparing to launch a series of workshops covering various topics (photography, electronics, and mechatronics).

  • Line following car: Fully analog black-line following car. Password protected.
  • Two degrees of freedom robotic arm, with serial communication control through keyboard using PIC micro-controller.
  • Inverted pendulum using PIC micro-controller.
  • Time-lapse photography setup: Automatic delay and shutter release setup using a remote control, and an Arduino board.
