Open Education Workshop by Elise Moussa


f you're a college student, a potential college student, an entrepreneur, an academic, a teacher/professor, or someone merely interested in education and the process of leveraging technology to promote access of high quality education globally, then this is a workshop for you!

During this Open Education workshop, Elise will provide an overview of some of the best open online courses where anyone can learn just about anything for free. We will review the course offerings of open online courses such as edX, Coursera, Udacity and also trends in the industry including new courses that will launch soon. The goal is to provide options for those interested in learning to connect with experts to empower themselves and their community through education.

You could bring your laptops to check out some of the websites or online material, on-the-spot.

About the Host

Elise Moussa is an educational technology entrepreneur, who has founded several non-profits and businesses, which leverage technology and education for social good. Elise is a graduate of Boston College and has studied at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she recently launched her Cambridge-based startup “BE” www,whatisBE.comthat rewards people for their smarts. Elise is passionate about educational technology and believes that education should be free to change the world.
