This is a series of bi-weekly workshops given by Lamba Labs member Hassane Slaibi on 6 different techniques of clay modelling without using a wheel. Claywork is a technically challenging medium of art, but still paradoxically it is used by children. So basically it is very easy to start with, and can become as challenging as you would like it to be. Come join us for this series of 6 workshops!
We will need a rolling pin (شوبك) for this session, bring one from your kitchen and you can wash it at the end.
Bring any clay modeling tools you might have. If you don't have any, we will provide a few.
This workshop series is targeted towards anybody who would like to experiment with clay. It does not matter whether you are a professional or a beginner, all are welcome.
Hassane is a computer engineer and a musician. His passion for clay began about 5 years ago through the arts club at AUB. He has since then been fascinated by clay masks and loves spending a Sunday evening transforming some earth into living faces.
